The hotel itself has a long history, dating back over 100 years but the actual building was closed in 1976 and totally restored, reopening 1985. It now has a modern exterior and is situated on a busy downtown street. As this is an old property guest-rooms vary slightly in size but are comfortable and in good condition. Bathrooms are clean, modern and bright. This 3 star hotel has two restaurants and the 'Janos' beer cellar situated in the basement, is one of the most famous nightspots in Budapest, with a spectacular decor and lively atmosphere.
